Worked from a van for 4 months across Europe, the honest version

not as romantic as Instagram. also better than Instagram in ways that don't photograph. the good: waking up somewhere new and deciding over coffee whether to stay or move. it changed what I think I need to be comfortable. the less good: wifi for work calls was genuinely stressful. campsite showers range from fine to grim. you will have one catastrophic breakdown at the worst time, ours was a Saturday evening in rural Spain. the loneliness is real solo if you don't make the effort. van cost €8k, sold for €6,500. 4 months cost about the same as renting a London flat for the same time.
