What destination felt overhyped until you changed neighborhoods?

For me it was Bali. The first area I stayed in felt too crowded and influencer-heavy, and I honestly wondered if I made a mistake.

Then I moved to a quieter area and enjoyed the trip a lot more. Curious what places felt overrated at first, but got better once you stayed somewhere different.
