Unpopular opinion: Is Paris actually better in the freezing winter?

Hear me out. I went to Paris last July and hated the crowds and the heat. I’m thinking of going back in January because I want to see the museums without a 2-hour line and actually sit in a cafe without someone else's elbow in my face. Am I romanticizing freezing rain, or is winter Paris low-key elite?
