PSA: Check your passport expiration date TODAY (Learned the hard way)

Writing this from my couch instead of a beach in Bali. Turns out, many countries require your passport to be valid for at least 6 months beyond your departure date. Mine expires in 4 months, and I was denied boarding at the gate. I had no idea this rule existed because my passport is technically still valid right now. Completely devastated, but sharing this so none of you have to experience this absolute gut-punch. Check your dates, folks!
