My favorite way to find good local food while traveling
I try not to rely only on famous restaurants or viral places. Some of my best meals came from small local spots with short menus, busy lunch hours, and regular customers. I usually check maps, but I also walk around nearby streets and look for places that feel active without being too touristy. Local markets, bakeries, food courts, and simple family restaurants are often better than expensive places near attractions. I also like asking hotel staff where they personally eat, not where tourists usually go.
