How to Get the Most Out of a City in 24 Hours
The forced constraint of 24 hours makes you radically prioritize. My method: research the single best thing the city is known for and do that first (when you're fresh, before the day takes over). Then let yourself wander with no fixed plan for 3-4 hours, you'll find the second-best thing by accident. Eat lunch where the most locals eat near where you're wandering (not where the guidebook says). Spend the remaining time on one more structured visit. End with dinner at a restaurant you need a reservation for, the constraint forces you to choose. The mistake: trying to see 'everything' and ending the day with a list of shallow experiences rather than 3-4 deep ones.
