Does anyone else enjoy grocery stores more than tourist shops?

Whenever I travel in Asia, I always end up spending too much time in local supermarkets. Snacks, drinks, instant noodles, sauces, random packaging, it somehow tells you a lot about daily life in that country. Souvenirs from grocery stores also feel more useful than most tourist items.
