cash situation in Tokyo and what I actually used day to day

just got back. cards work way more places than I expected but there were still moments (small ramen shops, some shrines, the occasional vending machine area) where cash saved me. 7-Eleven ATMs accepted my foreign card no problem. Loaded my Suica from the airport and barely thought about transport the whole trip. happy to answer questions
