Bali on a budget in 2026 still possible, just not where you think

Seminyak and Canggu are genuinely expensive now. Ubud is still reasonable if you're not staying at the design hotels. but the real answer is to go slightly off the beaten path, Sidemen, Amed, Munduk. I paid $18/night for a rice field view in Sidemen and it was better than anywhere in Canggu at five times the price. the food scene in Ubud is also severely underrated for the price.
