Are those viral "travel backpacks" actually good or just TikTok hype?

Keep seeing ads for the Cotopaxi, Osprey, and Nomatic bags claiming they can hold 3 weeks of clothing. I’ve always been a roller-suitcase person. For those who switched to a massive backpack, do you actually prefer it or do you just have back pain now?
